MYnd & Me – Supporting Wellbeing at Work

Conference Speakers

Psychosocial Matters

Prioritising our wellbeing is no longer a mere option, but a strategic imperative, as the impacts of psychosocial wellbeing are a key driver of workforce productivity and culture and one of the leading causes of burnout. Nearly 1 in 5 individuals grapple with mental health challenges annually, impacting approximately half of the population over their lifetime.

In their presentation at the Logan Small Business Conference and Showcase, Sonia and Narelle will delve into the importance of psychosocial hazard management in the workplace. Participants will understand what psychosocial hazards are, their significance, and how poor mental health impacts life beyond work, while learning practical strategies to champion mentally healthy workplaces and practices, enhance communication, and support themselves and colleagues.

Participants will discover how to initiate conversations about mental health, recognise your role in leading mental health efforts, and model positive behaviour. Gain valuable insights and tools for implementing effective psychosocial hazard management, promoting a healthy work-life balance, and ultimately creating a supportive and productive work environment.
