Scott Beattie is a finance and insurance industry veteran, starting his career in 1990.
In 2005, with this wife Jo, started their own mortgage broking business, Cube Home Loans. The concept was created at a McDonalds restaurant while their eldest child played, their now middle child, in a pram.
They enjoyed success from their first year, winning or at least being nominated for a state or national awards in each year of ownership.
Business wise, the accolades are too many to mention but notably winning the 2011 Brokerage of the Year for Diversification, the 2015, 16, 17, 20 and 23 Brokerage of the Year at the Better Business Awards. The 5 time wins making them more successful than any other brokerage Australia wide at these awards.
Cube Home Loans, now Cube Central, is co-owned by Nevada Matthews and in 2023, was awarded a top 100 brokerage in Australia and in earlier this year, a top 10 brokerage in Queensland.
Personally, Scott has been awarded:
- 2015 Marketing Guru of the Year,
- 2016 Credit Representative of the Year,
- 2019 All Round Broker of the Year and
- 2022, 4th in Queensland and 11th in Australia for the “Rate My Broker Awards”.
In 2023, Scott became a state councillor and Vice-President for the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) and in 2024, became the Queensland State President.
Scott is also a 13+ year volunteer life saver, saving people from the banks Monday to Friday and sand banks on weekends.
